Does Anyone use Clip-in Pedals of any variety on a Halfbike?

I read the posts about wearing comfortable shoes (not flip-flops), but no one is talking about using a cycling shoe that clips in. Anyone tried it? Good idea? Bad idea? Horrible idea?
