Riding a Halfbike is certainly not for everyone. You all now that it's a new skill that one needs to learn and it takes some balance, agility and special mindset to master it. We've seen plenty of people that give up after just a few tries and yet it seems that the ability to ride a Halfbike is not necessarily age related. Seeing kids or people with white hair that do better than most is a real treat :) And this also proves that becoming a Halfbike master it's not that much about age than it is about proper attitude. So what is the youngest and oldest person that you have seen ride a Halfbike?

Hmmm... I think I am not the oldest halfbiker. I am 52 years old, but mentally no more than 20 ;)

Čeprav jih imam 48 zaradi vsakodnevne vožnje obvladam veliko bolje kot moj sin,ki jih ima 12,a veliko manj izkušenj...

That's really interesting. Halfbike ads seems to be made rather for fit millennials and I can see lots of ‘old’ people here

BTW I'm 49 :)

Hello everyone! I recently found a used Halfbike2 for sale after searching for one for a long time. I was extremely happy to finally have the opportunity to get on and start learning. Turns out my son Luka was also very intrigued. He wanted to practice with me and after a few times back and forth on the flat road on our court, he started doing it on his own. He is currently 5 and will turn 6 in March. Im wondering, is 5 and a half the youngest so far? He now wants his own. Wish there was an Xtra Small version. Happy riding to everyone.

@Dan Luka is officially the youngest Halfbiker we've ever heard of, Dan! It's truly great to hear riding a Halfbike is now a family adventure - enjoy it! As to an XS version, yes, it's something we want to develop in the future but still far from ready. S is the tinies size we now have. It was built for people over 140 cm and obviously - Luca. :) Do you know what size is your Halfbike?

@Irina K Hi Irena, Thanks for responding. My Halfbike is a M. I personally feel like id like to have the handles a bit higher so maybe a large would have been better for me. Watching Luka ride is so funny because he can only go in a straight line. He is too light to make the bike flex to turn. Im pretty sure im going to leave this bike to him and ill get something more fitting for myself. I am 6ft (1.82M) and 90 kilos (trying to lose some of that) so im not sure if its the best fit, but i do know you have different springs. Ive also considered upgrading to the geared hub. Maybe you can best advise me on whether or not it makes sense to make any changes to this one

Hey Dan, With your height you should be good for a Halfbike sized M. Also note that the only difference between sizes is the height of the handlebar, which is approx. 6cm apart. The gear is definitely a game-changer for riding the Halfbike 2 and we strongly recommend it. You can always order springs, but we recommend sticking to those that are marked for your weight. You can see them here > halfbikes.com/parts

@Dan S. Your Halfbike can be both geared and sized up to L with the proper kits. Do send us an email at hello@halfbikes.com if at some point you decide to explore the size conversion/gear upgrade options. :)
