We can put the comfort range in between 150 and 195 cm / 4'11" to 6'5", while the maximum rider weight is 100 kg / 225 lbs.

You mentioned that my height (171cm) is close to being in between sizes and ask me to review my hands-to-feet measurement in my email (I emailed back but with no reply). However, after I measured, I find that there is no way to type in this hands-to-feet readings when ordering. It's a bit confused. By the way, Can I know the purpose of inputing my weight? As I have been in a weight reduction regime, reduced from 83kg to 76kg now. But I think more weight reducing is on it's way. So what weight (kg) should I entered to get a better Halfbike? Please kindly help and your prompt reply is appreciated.

I have an opportunity to buy a used medium sized half bike. I'm 5ft 11in 200lbs and would probably need a large. I'm saving quite a lot of money by buying used. Will riding a medium sized bike be difficult or uncomfortable considering its only a 6cm difference?

Hi, Ritchie, If you are 5' 11", size M is what you should get anyway. :) If you can, ask the previous owner to give you his/her order id or tell you what springs/sprocket it was built with. Away from size and colour, these are the other things that vary on Halfbike 3 and we choose them according to the measurements of the rider and his/her terrain profile choice. If you need more info, drop us a line here or at hello@halfbikes.com Irina

@Michael H. Hi, Michael, The current limit is set at 210 lbs because of some structural limitations and because over the years and after many test rides and observations, we found out that heavier/taller riders often struggle to find their balance. And while Halfbike was built to handle more and we know of many exceptions to the rule, the current compact and light set up will not be a good solution for you, I am afraid. Shall we drop you a line if at some point we come out with a heavy-duty XL version?

Hello, Halfbike creators. I just found you guys while looking for an alternative to a bike or scooter. I am replying to the last post about an XL version. I am 192cm and 115kg, and it is super hard to find devices like this that fit me. Please update me if you ever make an XL version. I am quite athletic, so I'm sure I'll get the balance and technique just fine. Thank you.

Hi Michael, We currently don't have plans for a new model. We just cannot guarantee that you won't experience any problems for anything beyond 100kg with the Halfbike. The height and weight limits were set because we realized that taller and/or heavier people often find it hard to keep their balance on a Halfbike and cannot enjoy it to the fullest. And to us, the best part is the experience, having fun while learning something new. In this regard, please have in mind though that learning to ride a Halfbike is a bit challenging at first and although people find the learning curve to be rewarding after a few riding sessions, it is rather steep at the beginning. However, it usually takes about 20-25 minutes for the rider to get a better idea of the experience, adjust to it and start riding in a straight line. From then on, as with most new activities, the key is practice. Here are a few links that should shed more light on what you might be getting yourself into :)) Jimmy's YouTube Channel >> Jimmy is one of our US ambassadors, a devoted rider, and a wonderful teacher.
