A friend of mine commented that the cadence or spin rate at which I was pedaling was much lower than would be typical on a regular bicycle - and it is. I think it's inherent to the halfbike (standing posture, smaller tires, etc) rather than my particular technique. Anyone with similar observations?

I've noticed this too. Wiki says "Recreational and utility cyclists typically cycle around 60–80 rpm". But looking at my cadence data (Garmin Cadence sensor 2) from my 3 faster HalfBike rides (avg 15.8km @ avg 19.3km/h), my avg cadence is always a steady 45 rpm while the max ranges from 77 - 84 rpm.
