I purchased the halfbike looking for a more complete workout than bicycle riding. It sure is a workout! I haven't gotten out on it as much as I like as I bought it in December (I live in the northern US.) so it's taken a few times to learn to ride it (as well as a pretty good fall) since the cold has kept the rides somewhat short. But, it does what I hoped...a much quicker workout than on a regular bike.
I only have one design issue and that is with the quick release bolts for the handle bars. I don't know how to work those very quickly as it takes a bit to get them to run up into the channel. They have to be unscrewed almost to the end in order to get them into the handlebar's channel. What ends up happening is that I use the quick release levers as basically just a wing nut. They don't hold their position like a regular quick releases on a regular bicycle wheel. It's not a big deal, it's just that they don't really function as quick release levers.
The only other thing is that I wear a size 11.5 shoe and my feet are long enough that they hit the back wheels once in a while. It's a bit scary when that happens.
Other than that, it really is a remarkable piece of kit. I get thoroughly worn out on it and I'm looking forward to when I get into better shape to ride it longer distances. Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback!
