I purchased my half bike approximately two months ago. Prior to that most of my fitness routine consisted of running and walking. At 68 years old I and a lot of pounding on my feet I started developing neuropathy and unfortunately running became painful. When I saw an advertisement for half bike I thought this would be an excellent replacement for running. As advertised it took me a while to feel comfortable on my half bike; however, with a positive attitude and determination to make it work for me I am now getting a good workout and improving my core; including my balance that was not very good. I highly recommend that anyone who wants to purchase a half bike to give it time and stay committed. Like many of the reviews imply, it can be frustrating at times, but over time it gets better. If you are the type of person who gives up easy the half bike is not for you; however, if you are looking for a different kind of workout I highly recommend the half bike.
