The half-bike hit my address not too long ago. I'd been eyeing the bicycle as an alternative to running. Eventually soft tissue gives way in older age. That said, the experience has been nothing short of hilarious. Fun to watch others navigate the challenge. A challenge that inspires smiles and giddiness when it's no longer the challenge. The instructions warn that their is a user experience dip. For me, it took 3 attempts to stay upright. Braking requires leaning back. Straight lines require a delicate touch on the handle bar. Those are early observations. I'm no master. However the experience has been nothing short of energizing. It awakens the senses to create new muscle memory. I'm looking forward to turning heads while I zip through the pathways of Austin.
