I used to urban inline skate for many years. After sustaining a third serious injury I decided to give it up, because I`m 54 and fear I may not recover from the next injury. After many hours of research, I decided to try the Halfbike. Now riding for 9 months I can comfortably navigate the urban jungle, jumping up onto and down from curbs and so forth. The Halfbike does have limitations when compared to my hybrid bikes, such as riding on a bumpy trail, which is a no go. I think the difficulty of riding uphill is overemphasized. This was a factor that made me contemplate possibly not buying the Halfbike. The fun factor and adrenalin rush on the Halfbike is steadily increasing as I conquer more skills needed to confidently blast through the city. I do appreciate the fact that I don’t need to worry about wet roads like I did when I was skating, I can still get my cardio on during inclement weather…huge plus!
