This is an extremely well built product that is fun to ride. I am 58 and was up and running after about 2 days of practice. Since this is more of a thrill ride than a traditional bike you should wear a helmet. The hardest thing to learn is steering by shifting weight and is more difficult the faster you ride. People who ski should have no problem adjusting. Of note also; the half-bike provides a much more strenuous workout than a traditional bike. Also, before each ride, check that the cam locks on the steering column are tight, otherwise the column can come loose while you are riding.
