So at my age of 60, this is a very cool device. I can’t take running impact anymore. Bicycle workouts take too long to get a workout in and stay employed and married. It involves more exertion per unit distance than a bicycle. My lower back can’t take roller blades anymore. I have been able to get honest 45 minute workouts in on my Halfbike before my work day if I focus on keeping a pace and compete against myself. 12 laps around the block is almost 11 miles, 45 to 46 minutes, and I feel spent enough to feel good. I’m using it more than my rower and ski ergometer because the fun of being outdoors calls me more. Some issues. Broke left crank arm several times. Current one is holding and I have been told they were redesigned (though they look similar). Snapped a couple of top pins. Current one has been holding for a while. I haven’t minded replacing these items because I find the Halfbike that fun and effective. The Halfbike team is very helpful via email when help is needed. I see people complain about the price on social media, but I think it’s ok priced.
